Creekview Youth Track and Field Team (member of USATF)
Our Track and Field developmental season begins in March and extends through May with 4 to 5 developmental meets (April –May), followed by the optional USATF Track and Field Season. The USATF Track and Field season begins in June with the first qualifying meet; the USATF Preliminary Area Meet (6/6). The season continues through the end of July based on individual athlete performance/qualification at the 3 post-season championship meets; the USATF Georgia Association State Championships (6/18-6/21), USATF Region 4 Championships (7/9-7/12) and the USATF Hershey National Junior Olympic Track and Field Championships (7/27-8/2).
Our team practices 2-3 days a week beginning in March through the start of the National Championships from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Creekview High School Track. When the track is not available, practice is held at the Creekland Middle School football field or Cherokee Veterans Park.

Youth Cross Country Team (member of USATF)
The Creekview Youth Cross Country Team is a USATF club team that is open to athletes ages 6 through 18. This team participates in USATF sanctioned meets.
The USATF Youth Cross
Country Season is composed of 5 to 6 regular season meets (Sept-Oct), followed
by 3 post-season championship meets; the USATF Georgia Association State
Championships (November), USATF Regional Championships (November) and the USATF
National Junior Olympic Cross Championships (December).
Our team practices 3
days a week beginning in late July through the start of the National
Championships from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
Training locations vary by practice day and include Boling Park,
Cherokee Veterans Park, Sequoyah Park, Creekland Middle School, and the
Creekview High School track. Optional
practices will be offered on some non-meet weekends throughout the season and
added during the week during the post-season.
Eligibility for the Regional Championships
is based on qualification at the Georgia Association State Championships. Eligibility for the USATF National Junior
Olympic Cross Championships is based on qualification at the USATF Regional
Championships.
Creekland Middle School Cross Country Team
The Creekland Middle School Cross Country Team is open to any 6th, 7th, or 8th grader enrolled in Creekland Middle School. This team participates in 5 regular season Middle School meets (Aug-Oct), followed by Georgia’s State Middle School Cross Country Championships (mid-Oct).
The MS team practices 3 days a week beginning the first week of August up until the State Championships. Athletes have the option of attending either the MS Team practices that occur immediately after school on the Creekland MS XC Trail or attending the Youth Team practices that begin at 6:00pm and are held at various training locations to provide more diversity (see above Youth Team section). Athletes can vary which practice they attend daily, based on academic, family demands, or training desires.
MS team athletes also have the option of completing a full MS season followed by the USATF Championship Season (see above Youth Team section). The addition of the championship season does require an additional fee.
