Registration for the 2023 Cross Country Season is Now Open and will Close at 11:59pm on August 5, 2023.
Creekview Youth Track and Field Team (member of USATF)
Our Track and Field developmental season begins in March and extends through May with 4 to 5 developmental meets (April –May), followed by the optional USATF Track and Field Season. The USATF Track and Field season begins in June with the first qualifying meet; the USATF Preliminary Area Meet (6/6). The season continues through the end of July based on individual athlete performance/qualification at the 3 post-season championship meets; the USATF Georgia Association State Championships (6/18-6/21), USATF Region 4 Championships (7/9-7/12) and the USATF Hershey National Junior Olympic Track and Field Championships (7/27-8/2).
Our team practices 2-3 days a week beginning in March through the start of the National Championships from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Creekview High School Track. When the track is not available, practice is held at the Creekland Middle School football field or Cherokee Veterans Park.
Creekview Youth Cross Country Team (member of USATF) and the Creekland MS Cross Country Team
The Creekview Youth Cross Country Team is a USATF club team that is open to athletes ages 6 through 18. Our team practices 3 days a week beginning in early July through the start of the USATF National Junior Olympic Championships in December from 6:00 pm to 7:45 pm. Training locations vary by practice day and include Boling Park, Cherokee Veterans Park, Sequoyah Park, Creekland Middle School, and the Creekview High School track.
Our team participates in USATF sanctioned meets. The USATF Youth Cross Country Season is composed of 5 to 6 regular season meets (Sept-Oct), followed by 3 post-season championship meets; the USATF Georgia Association State Championships (November), USATF Region 4 Championships (November) and the USATF National Junior Olympic Cross Championships (December).
Any athlete on the Creekview Youth Cross Country team athlete that is enrolled in the 6th, 7th, or 8th grade, competes for the Creekland Middle School Team Cross Country Team. This team participates in Middle School XC meets that begin in August and end with the MS State Championships in mid-October. MS Athletes also have an option to extend their season and register for the USATF Youth Championship Season (State, Regions, and Nationals) following the MS season. The addition of the championship season does require an additional fee.
Eligibility for the Region 4 Championships is based on qualification at the Georgia Association State Championships. Eligibility for the USATF National Junior Olympic Cross Championships is based on qualification at the USATF Region 4 Championships.
Track and Field Uniforms
The first uniform option is a compression based uniform. The top is a very form fitting tank top and the bottom is a spandex/tights form and feel. These are typically worn by athletes competing in sprints, high jump, long jump, and mid-distance races. Click here for sizing charts and an example.
The second uniform option is a non-compression based uniform. The top is a regular fit tank top and the bottoms are 4" running shorts with a liner on the inside. These are typically worn by athletes competing in throwing events and distance running events. Click here for sizing charts and an example.
Regardless of the event, the above uniform types can be worn while competing in any event. It's totally based on the athletes preference.
XC Uniforms
The XC uniform option is a non-compression based uniform. The top is a regular fit tank top and the bottoms are 4" running shorts with a liner on the inside. Click here for sizing charts and an example.
Release and Conduct
Please read this carefully and be aware that in signing up and participating in this program, you will be waiving and releasing all claims for injuries you might sustain out of this program.
I give my permission to Creekview Youth Track and XC to furnish my picture for future use, as appearing in club brochures, local newspaper, website, etc.
I recognize and acknowledge that there are certain risks of physical injury and I agree to assume the full risk of any injuries, damage or loss which I may sustain as a result of participating in any and all activities with or associated with this program.
I agree to waive and relinquish all claims I may have as a result of participating in this program against the Creekview Youth Track and Cross Country, Inc., its officers, or volunteers.
I do hereby release and discharge the Creekview Youth Track and Cross Country, Inc., its officers and volunteers from any and all claims from injuries, damage or loss on account of my participation in this program.
I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless and defend the Creekview Youth Track and Cross Country, Inc. and its officers and its volunteers from any and all claims resulting from injuries, damages, and losses sustained by my athlete and arising out of, connected with or in any way associated with the activities of the program.
I agree to subscribe to the Creekview Youth Cross Country remind Group, and take full responsibility to ensure that I am receiving notifications from the group.

You acknowledge that this athlete has been examined by a physician within one (1) year to compete in athletic activities. While participating at practice or in meets, the parent, guardian or other adult authorized by the parent or guardian will be present in the event medical treatment becomes necessary. AS A PARTICIPANT. I authorize the coaching staff of The Creekview Youth Track & XC Club to make any decisions concerning the health, welfare and safety including medical treatment for your athlete during my absence.
